Dinner and masterclass with chef and sushi master, Ken Komatsu with Irish Times wine expert John Wison

Floritz the glamorous destination restaurant at 22 St. Stephen’s Green, partners with The Irish Times to host an intimate dinner and masterclass with chef and sushi master, Ken Komatsu. Taking place on Wednesday, November 13th, dinner on the evening will have wines and sake paired by Irish Times wine and drinks writer and expert, John Wilson.

Chef Ken Komatsu is one of the few Japanese chefs in Ireland with extensive experience in traditional Japanese food, or washoku, which has been registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Training under revered sushi masters in Tokyo, chef Komatsu has been teaching sushi-making for many years, including at Japan’s premier sushi college in Tsukiji.   

Floritz is an invitation to travel far, far away without leaving this dramatic dining-room, with dishes featuring exceptional global ingredients as well as some of this island’s finest produce. From crudo and sushi to skewers, bowls, wagyu and dishes from the hibachi grill, layered with exotic influences, Asian accents and far-away flavours, this is a menu full of punchy, bold and fresh food, perfect for the adventurous and designed to be explored.
