In so many ways today’s Ireland is unrecognisable from the country it was in 1973, particularly for women. To mark International Women’s Day and to celebrate fifty years since the foundation of the National Women’s Council, The Irish Times Women’s Podcast is delighted to announce our first live event since the pandemic.
Join us at 6.30pm on Thursday, March 2nd in The Oak Room of the Mansion House, Dublin for an evening exploring five decades of Irish women’s struggles and triumphs and examining the challenges and inequalities that remain. Hosted by Róisín Ingle and Kathy Sheridan, guests include Sonya Lennon, Tara Flynn, Dr Salome Mbugua, Suzy Byrne and Orla O’Connor with music from Sharyn Ward.
